Spice mix for Singapore coconut rice
(Nasi Lemak)
Ingredients for 5 people:
• 1 packet of spice mix for Singapore
Coconut rice (Nasi Lemak) 500 g uncooked rice, 670 ml water
• 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
• Cucumber slices and chilli for decoration
Preparation:
1. Put the rice, spice mix, water and oil in a pan and mix well.
2. Bring to the boil and stir once. Put a lid on the pot and let it cook for 20 minutes.
Let rest for 3.5 minutes. Stir, garnish and serve hot with boiled EGGS, FISH or CHICKEN.
Tip:
Cook the dish in a rice cooker. Put rice, water, spice mixture and oil in the rice cooker. Turn on and let it boil. Stir before decorating.
